And the Sacramento plumbing experts can help you with the plumbing part of the rehab.

In any case the houses will need rehab because almost all houses that go through foreclosure are in disrepair. Plumbing is always needed in these foreclosed houses. The people who vacated the houses left the house in bad shape because they figured they did not have to take care of the house since they had to leave anyway.

You will want to plan to remodel the kitchen of a foreclosed property whether you are reselling the house or planning to live in it yourself. You can replace the dishwasher yourself or call a professional to do it. If you do it yourself here are some tips.

You can buy one and install it yourself or hire a plumber to install it. If you do it yourself here are some tips. Before working on it you need to test it for power. Buy an electrical tester at any hardware store. Touch the tool to the bottom of the appliance. If the unit is powered the tool will light up and make a humming sound. You have to turn off the breaker to that appliance if the power is running through it.

When you turn off the breaker retest the appliance with the tool to make sure the power is off before continuing. Disconnect the box in the bottom of the unit. You need to loosen the fasteners at the panel face. Locate the wire nuts at the bottom near the floor level and twist them off. Save these for the next appliance or buy new ones to install with the new dishwasher.

Now take the wires from the wall from the holes in the plate. You will also find under the sink the water hoses that fill the unit when the wash cycle begins. These hoses are made of flexible metal and are easy to flex and work with. This braided metal replaced copper hoses years ago. You have to close the water supply when working on the appliance to keep from flooding the area.

Once you have the old appliance removed install the new one according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If you are at all challenged by working with plumbing you can always call your Sacramento plumbing specialists to help you.
