Edouard Heuer established his own watch company in 1860 with a dream of getting the lead to patent the chronograph. He was able to take his way out to be on the top in 1882 for innovative technologies. That was then the start of his journey to build up its name, Tag Heuer, innovators in watch making.

They designed the clock for automobiles dashboard, Time Trip was introduced in the market in 1911. This unique product had two sets of hands, the first set to determine the time and the second set to track the duration of the trip. It was indeed a work of a genius hitting two birds in one stone.

Another innovative product was in 1914, when they introduced the first wrist watch combined with chronograph. This wristwatch was fashionably designed allowing the owner to start and stop the time using a stopwatch function. In fact, Tag Heuer was the first to open the way for stopwatch. The company had also crafted timepieces for automobiles and aircraft during the years 1930s and 1940s.

After the World War II, watches for Abercrombie and Fitch with special dials were manufactured. Specially designed for seafarers, these watches were able to detect high and low tides and moon phases. Later on, these special dials were found to be effective for golfers in tracking their scores.

As competition become stiffer, Heuer continuously keep its position in the market to give the “firsts”. The company came out with new designs for dashboards clock adding more features to it until it finally got saturated in 1985. But then again, it never ended there; Tag Heuer invaded sports and racing events including the most remarkable Formula One. Racing lovers not just the pro but even amateurs have loved using these devices because they could accurately monitor their performance.

Technology advancements never left the company behind. The first watch to get into space with John Glenn taking charge of the Mercury Atlas 6 in Earth’s orbit is another creation of Heuer. He used a Heuer stopwatch as a back up clock for the mission. By the way, in the middle of 1960s, to serve new period for watches and timers, the company manufactured its first automatic chronograph.

Until this very moment, Tag Heuer is known to be the watch makers for men and women of modern times. Watches with diamonds, watches that you could bring anywhere, what else you will look for?

Tag Heuer watches have been offering luxury watches across the globe and continue to grow.
